I built a check that stops AI coding agents before they delete, force push or deploy

Wait 5 sec.

For weeks I read stories of coding agents doing things nobody asked for, told by the people it happened to. A terraform destroy that wiped 2.5 years of student work. An agent that pushed the deletion of 723 files to a main branch. A "yeah go ahead" that cost someone 29 folders of unsaved work. A rule in CLAUDE.md, written in capitals, that the agent ignored anyway. Every time, the rule existed. Nothing checked the action itself before it ran. So I built Paidwen (https://paidwen.com). It plugs into the hook of Claude Code or Codex and checks each tool before it runs. You say in plain words what runs, what's blocked, and what waits for your yes in Slack or by email. Everything that can be undone keeps running, and only the risky stuff waits. It's free to try, no card. I'm a solo founder, so honest feedback is the most useful thing you can give me. What would you want your agent to always ask before doing? submitted by /u/Timely_Flamingo3351 [link] [comments]
