Erling Haaland could be among the first players to leave Manchester City if the club is relegated from the Premier League following confirmation of its guilt over breaking more than 100 Premier League rules. The situation would represent a remarkable development for City and has already tainted some of the success they have enjoyed in recent seasons. It could also affect the reputation of Pep Guardiola, who remained their manager until this summer.City are still a strong side, with Enzo Maresca leading them at the top of the Premier League table and competing well against Arsenal despite Guardiola’s departure.Haaland could become a major targetHowever, relegation would almost certainly leave City vulnerable to losing their best players. Their rivals would be expected to move quickly, and Arsenal have already been linked with a move for Haaland as they continue to search for a top striker. The Gunners believe Haaland could help them build the dynasty they have been craving, making the Norwegian an attractive option for their long-term plans. Arsenal, though, are not the only club interested in securing his services.Barcelona are also competing for Haaland’s signature, creating an important battle for one of the most sought-after forwards in world football. A potential move away from Manchester would therefore give the striker a major decision to make.(Photo by Alex Pantling/Getty Images)Barcelona ahead of ArsenalAccording to Football Insider, Haaland has now chosen the club he would most like to join if Manchester City are relegated from the Premier League. The report claims that the Norwegian striker has opted for Barcelona ahead of Arsenal, despite the Gunners’ interest and their belief that he could become the centrepiece of their ambitions. That decision would represent a significant blow for Arsenal, who are looking for a top striker capable of transforming their attack. It would also give Barcelona a major advantage in any transfer battle if City are forced to part with their leading players. For now, Haaland remains a City player, but the possibility of relegation could dramatically change his future and create a fierce contest between Arsenal and Barcelona._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
