The day radiologist doctors get replaced by AI, a lot of other doctors will also get replaced by AI. No need for selective worrying.

Wait 5 sec.

I hear people casually stating how it is possible for AI to replace radiologists in the coming years. But i am surprised that they fail to realise that a lot more doctors rely on simple pattern recognition in patient history and patient lab reports. AI is already far superior at text based tasks rather than vision based tasks. Further, so many more high paying jobs rely solely on thinking, anayzing and formulating a management plan, all these tasks are easy for AI. So if such a time comes that radiologists get replaced by AI then surely a lot of other doctors and professionals will also be replaced by AI. At that point in time, people would have to worry about far more serious existensial concerns rather than just a radiologist mulling over getting replaced. submitted by /u/Ok_Pen8642 [link] [comments]
