Anthropic puts Claude Dashboards and Motion into beta for live data and animation

Anthropic pushed two new Claude tools into beta on Thursday. With Claude Dashboards, users can turn company data into charts that update themselves, and with Claude Motion, they can use text to create coded animations.Dashboards are only available on paid plans. Motion is only available for Team and Enterprise.Charts pull from Snowflake and BigQuery and show each queryDashboards draw on data platforms like Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, or Snowflake. It also reads data from Salesforce and other CRM integrations.Anthropic says that all a user has to do is ask a question in plain text, and Claude will write the query, plot the chart, and keep it up to date as the numbers change.It’s aimed at quick, exploratory checks, like comparing the number of signups this week to last month’s. It only takes one click on any figure for the query to appear.Every chart has a time stamp that shows when it was last refreshed.Dashboards let Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog, or Sigma do more in-depth analysis. It will soon be possible to use Looker, monday.com, and Tableau.Anthropic said that Motion can turn a quarterly report into a 30-second all-hands explainer, bring a board-deck chart to life, or make a walkthrough for onboarding new customers. It looks like a short video and downloads as an MP4.Claude creates code that animates users’ own text, charts, shapes, and images. They can alter any word, number, or timing. Anthropic stated that there are no AI-created people or generated footage.Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Higgsfield, invideo, Luma AI, or Runway can all open animations that are done. Canva and Captions will be available soon.Claude Docs, Slides and Design reach every plan after 45 million filesThe same announcement moved Claude Docs, Slides, and Design out of beta status. All three are now on every plan including Free.Since launch, users have created more than 45 million docs, decks, and designs, Anthropic said.Business accounts can use customer-managed encryption keys for Artifacts. Teams can collaborate on a single file with Claude.Admins pick which artifact templates their organization uses.It is possible for admins to let users share slides, designs, dashboards, and animations with people outside of an organization. When users export to PowerPoint or PDF, the format stays the same, but when they export to Google Slides, the decks are editable files.The separate Design site, claude.ai/design, will be shut down on December 14. Since September 16, Claude has run Design inside its conversations.When the stand-alone version closes, its public links are disabled, and chats and comments do not move.According to Cryptopolitan, Anthropic added Cowork to Claude chat on September 16 and put Docs and Slides into beta on the same day. This was part of a push toward a superapp. The cheapest model, Claude Haiku 5.5, was sent out by the tech company on October 7.Anthropic wants to go public after the November 2026 US midterm elections. Cryptopolitan said the offering could make the business worth more than $2 trillion.Dashboards and Motion are disabled by default for Enterprise accounts.
