D. J. Stables LLC's Odenkirk (c, 2, Nyquist–Astrollinthepark, by Divine Park) captured Sunday's Display Stakes at Woodbine for 2-year-olds over seven furlongs on the synthetic to stay unbeaten after a slight delay when Quipster (Practical Joke) acted up in the gate. The field was backed out as Quipster was evaluated and scratched, then reloaded with Odenkirk–favored at 6-5–hightailing it out of the stalls. The bay showed the way through :23.37 and :46.58 quarters before kicking clear in the stretch to win by about six lengths. Uncle Dodo (Uncle Mo), winner of the Victoria Stakes July 12, rallied from last to score runner-up honors.
