About the Project: We are Slowlight, an instrumental indie post-rock band based in Lucerne, Switzerland. We are looking for a talented and budget-friendly 2D animator, comic book artist, or motion designer to create a music video for our upcoming track, "Common Ground." We are envisioning a comic book / graphic novel style (open to dark noir, stylized anime, or expressive 2D illustration) that follows this emotional journey: The Descent: A descent into hell, confronting despair, injustice, and the sheer atrocities of war. The Awakening: A gradual realization that human salvation comes from an ethical and human rebirth, driven by a deep awareness of justice and humanity. The Message: The final realization that the survival of humanity depends on the individual's ability to stay human, to cultivate joy, to welcome the "other," and to respect the equal right of every living being to live and be happy. Creative Freedom: While this is the core narrative arc, we deeply value your artistic vision. We want you to feel free to interpret the story, suggest visual metaphors, and bring your unique style and creative expression into the project. What we are looking for (Smart & Cost-Effective Workflow): Style: Graphic novel, motion comic, or atmospheric 2D illustration. Execution: Because we have a limited indie budget, we do not expect full cell animation. We are looking for a Motion Comic / Parallax approach: high-quality, powerful comic panels with smart camera movements, smoke/light effects, and selective animations that evolve alongside the song's epic post-rock crescenzi. Deliverable: Full music video (length: 6 minutes and 30 seconds). Budget & Timeline: Budget: 200€ to 400€ (Fixed Price).
