i was looking for alphabet posters for a classroom and kept running into listings that looked almost identical. different shop names, different prices, but the same preview images showing up over and over i get that some sellers use similar templates, but after seeing the same designs across several stores, it's hard to tell who's actually making something and who's just reselling files. the listings marked handmade or teacher-designed cost more, and i'm not against paying for someone's work, but those labels don't tell me much on their own i don't want to spend money on a printable only to realize i could've made basically the same thing in google slides in twenty minutes for people who buy digital downloads on etsy, are there any signs you look for to tell whether a design is original? reverse image search, shop history, process videos, something else? or is it mostly a gamble unless you already know the seller? submitted by /u/Cheap-Cut7910 to r/Etsy [link] [comments]
