I'm building Follicle, an app for comparing hairline photos over time

Wait 5 sec.

I'm the creator of Follicle, an app in development for comparing hairline photos and tracking changes over time. Follicle calculates hairline recession relative to interpupillary distance (IPD, the distance between the centers of the pupils), alongside photo alignment and progress tracking. Consistent comparisons are the challenge: lighting, camera position, and the way a photo is taken can make two pictures look different. The app still needs testing and refinement, and I'm not presenting it as a diagnosis or a hair-loss treatment. I launched a small Kickstarter with a $500 goal to help cover continued improvements, launch and publishing costs, and marketing. The campaign page has a project video, rewards, and development risks: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/941572528/follicle-the-hairline-tracking-app-0 I'd appreciate feedback from other builders on the demonstration: is the capture-and-comparison workflow clear, and what would you need to see before trusting a tracking tool like this? I'm sharing my own project, so questions and criticism are welcome. submitted by /u/Responsible_Main_647 [link] [comments]
