I love Google Stitch, but it's still in beta, so I made my own

Wait 5 sec.

https://reddit.com/link/1x1uopx/video/rm88azbmuhuh1/player I love Google Stitch. It designs better UI than any coding agent I've used. But it's still in beta, and it doesn't seem to be moving forward. I wanted two things: * A canvas where I see every screen my agents design, with its versions. * Agents that produce good design by default. Out of the box, they produce bad UI. So I spent 2 hours building stitch2 for myself. Agents draft screens as plain HTML from my DESIGN.md and my own components. stitch2 puts them on one canvas and checks them: layout, type, contrast, and components built by hand instead of reused. When an agent drifts, I point at the element, copy a reference with the file and line, and hand it back. I tried to put most of the good design rules into its agent skills: type scale, spacing, contrast, reusing components instead of inventing new ones. Stitch inspired it, and I took the part I needed most: good design by default, and a canvas that keeps it consistent. I'll keep adding design rules until agents create really good design on their own. It's open source, MIT, on npm. https://github.com/ifokeev/stitch2 submitted by /u/lupsikpupsik [link] [comments]
