I built Waybill: Canada Post shipping labels at one flat price to anywhere in Canada (with an API)

Wait 5 sec.

Hey r/SideProject! I'm a small business owner in Ontario, and I want to share what I've been building: Waybill https://waybill.supply The problem: Shipping inside Canada is weirdly expensive and unpredictable. Carrier rates are based on distance, so a 2 kg box from Toronto to Vancouver costs way more than the same box across town. Small online sellers end up charging customers $15 or more for shipping, or eating the cost. What Waybill does: It sells real Canada Post labels at one flat price to any Canadian address. The price depends only on weight and speed: Expedited Ground: $6 (1 kg) up to $10 (5 kg) Xpresspost: $8 to $12 Priority: $10 to $14 There's no subscription, no monthly fee and no minimum volume. You buy a label, it shows up as a PDF in your dashboard, you print it and drop the parcel off. For the devs here: there's a full API for pricing and label creation, so you can quote shipping and generate labels automatically from your own store, app or order system. Who it's for: Canadian shops and makers shipping parcels under 5 kg within Canada, especially to far-away provinces. I'd really appreciate feedback on any of these: Is the pricing and the value clear from the landing page? If you sell online in Canada, what would make you switch label providers? If you'd use the API, what endpoints or integrations would you want first? Thanks for reading! Happy to answer anything in the comments. submitted by /u/DreadedKorzak [link] [comments]
