Yep. And on the flip side of this, if you happen to be rich and want to go all out, it would be ridiculous to expect all your guests to match that. Like, I've been to one truly black tie wedding. My friend who was getting married's dad is the managing partner of a major law firm making millions every year, so this thing was SWANKY. Super exclusive venue. I'm sure it was like $500 a person at least. Love my friend, but I wasn't going to give her an extravagant gift that was beyond what I normally give (or can afford) just because she had the means to make her wedding extra fancy.
