I'm an internationally educated RN from the Philippines with approximately nine years of emergency nursing experience in Ireland. I passed the NCLEX and hold an active New York RN license. My wife and I recently moved to California, and we're both waiting for our California nursing licenses before we can start working. I've completed my Live Scan, Nursys verification, and endorsement application, including a temporary license application. Now I'm stuck waiting for my university in the Philippines to process and send the required documents. It's incredibly frustrating to be an experienced nurse, already licensed in another US state, and unable to work while the bills keep coming. Has anyone gone through something similar? How long did your California endorsement take, especially if you graduated outside the US? Did you find any work while waiting?
