Moviment Graffitti has once again hit out at businessman Carlo Stivala over the use of public space outside Piccolo Padre in Sliema, warning that it could take direct action if the area is not fully restored.The group said that while an illegal canopy has since been removed, paving installed on the pavement and road remains in place, together with planters, tables and chairs. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)Graffitti claimed the space was still being used by the business as recently as yesterday evening, despite a Planning Authority enforcement notice and previous warnings that the site needed to be fully restored.“Carlo Stivala continues to defy the law and illegally appropriate public space in front of his hotel,” the group said.It also criticised the Planning Authority and its CEO Johann Buttigieg, accusing the authority of failing to take sufficient action beyond issuing an enforcement notice.The group warned that if the paving, planters, tables and chairs are not removed, it would consider taking direct action.The latest statement comes as restaurant tables and chairs have reportedly returned to the disputed Sliema pavement extension.Moviment Graffitti said it would continue opposing what it described as the illegal occupation of public space.•
