Tottenham legend says Arsenal star plays like 'a child', but he would walk into the Spurs XI

Wait 5 sec.

Tottenham legend Teddy Sheringham has given a scathing verdict on Arsenal star Viktor Gyokeres, who lifted the Premier League title last season.Spurs’ biggest issue so far this season has been the absence of a reliable number nine to put the ball in the back of the net.Tottenham have been among the Premier League’s best teams for getting into the final third, but have lacked the cutting edge to convert their dominance into goals.Dominic Solanke does not appear fit enough to get on the end of crosses at the moment, while new signing Omar Marmoush has lacked composure in front of goal despite showing some encouraging signs outside the box.D. I don’t think he has understood what it means to be an attacking player and what he has to do.“There are different ways to play striker, but he needs to be told to hold onto the ball when it comes to him. He does some things well, but constantly gives the ball away and when you are 28 years old, you should have learned this a long time ago.”V. After all, he just scored four goals in four games for Sweden during the international break. That shows the huge gap between the two North London rivals, with many of the Gunners’ backup players being big upgrades on Spurs’ starters.READ MORE: Looking back at Tottenham’s past 12 Next Gen stars from Carter-Vickers to Williams-BarnettThe post Tottenham legend says Arsenal star plays like 'a child', but he would walk into the Spurs XI appeared first on Spurs Web.
