It’s a palace drama inspired game where you play as noble ladies trying to avoid the Emperor’s attention. Your goal is basically to live a peaceful life in the palace without becoming his favourite… because apparently being noticed by the Emperor is too much hassle! I’m currently looking for an artist to help with some of the environment/background artwork for the game. I already have an artist working on the character and item designs, I have attached her work so far. So I’m specifically looking for someone to create: 4 × Card background designs 4 × Card back designs 1 × Box background/cover artwork 1 × Point tracker background I’m looking for someone who is particularly good at pretty, decorative artwork, ideally with some experience or interest in graphic design as well. I’m going for a beautiful historical Chinese palacey aesthetic, but I’m very open to an artist bringing their own style and ideas to the project. I’ve attached some examples of what I’m imagining, along with some of the character artwork that has already been created for the game. A note on the examples: background on one of the noble ladies is ai generated along with other examples provided. This is purely as visual references to communicate the general direction I’m thinking of. I want this game to be made by humans so rest assure I would be looking for you to bring your own interpretation to this. Budget: £1,000 I would need commercial rights to the artwork, as the game will eventually be commercially published.
