Disney To Close 3 Entire Lands, Including Toy Story Land, to Guests From 6:30 p.m.

Wait 5 sec.

One Disney park is set to close three entire lands early.Individual lands don’t always follow the same operating hours as the rest of a Disney park. At Disneyland, Mickey’s Toontown has historically tempoarily closed early on fireworks nights, while Disney has also warned that select Fantasyland attractions can shut ahead of the rest of the park for the same reason.Credit: DisneyFireworks are a particularly common factor because nearby areas may fall within safety or fallout zones that need to be cleared before a show. Other sections can also wind down early when their attractions or experiences have shorter operating hours, even as neighboring lands continue to welcome guests. However, one park is closing three lands for a totally different reason.Disney Park Confirms Mass Early ClosuresThree entire themed lands will close early this weekend, cutting off several attractions’ hours before the rest of the park shuts down. The closures will affect general guests on both October 10 and October 11, with access ending at 6:30 p.m. because of a private event.Hong Kong Disneyland has confirmed that Grizzly Gulch, Mystic Point, and Toy Story Land will all close at 6:30 p.m. on both dates. The wider park is scheduled to remain open until 8:30 p.m. on October 10, giving regular ticket holders two fewer hours in those areas.Credit: Hong Kong DisneylandThat removes several major rides from the evening lineup. Grizzly Gulch is home to Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, while Mystic Point houses the iconic opening day attraction Mystic Manor (the park’s equivalent of Haunted Mansion). Toy Story Land contains RC Racer, Slinky Dog Spin, and Toy Soldier Parachute Drop – a near-replica of the land found at Disney Adventure World – making it the most attraction-heavy of the three.Guests will still have access to much of Hong Kong Disneyland after those areas close. Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, and World of Frozen will remain open, leaving a wide spread of attractions, dining, and entertainment elsewhere in the park. That includes headline rides such as Frozen Ever After, the notoriously short Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, Hyperspace Mountain, Iron Man Experience, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Adventureland also remains available, alongside Main Street, U.S.A.’s shops and restaurants, giving guests several options for the final hours.Credit: DisneySeveral shows will also continue beyond the 6:30 p.m. closures. Let’s Get Wicked has a final performance at 7:30 p.m., while Mickey and the Wondrous Book is scheduled again at 7 p.m. on both October 10 and 11.The interactive Frozen show Playhouse in the Woods will remain open until 7 p.m., while Uninvited! A Villains Takeover Party has its final showing at 6:30 p.m. Earlier entertainment, including Mickey’s Happy Halloween Adventure and Moana: A Homecoming Celebration, wraps up before the affected lands close.Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is also preparing for a major hotel closure. The Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel will temporarily close in its entirety from October 12 for what Disney describes as “comprehensive enhancements” to its facilities, services, and the overall guest experience. Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel will remain open during the work. What’s your favorite land at Hong Kong Disneyland? The post Disney To Close 3 Entire Lands, Including Toy Story Land, to Guests From 6:30 p.m. appeared first on Inside the Magic.
