Hi! I’m looking to commission a portrait of my husband and me as Borderlands-style characters for our 19th wedding anniversary. Borderlands has been a really meaningful part of our relationship—we’ve played the games together throughout our marriage—so I’d love for this to feel like a genuine anniversary keepsake rather than just a generic character portrait. I’d like us to look recognizable as ourselves, but with the exaggerated, animated look of the Borderlands art style (bold comic-book features, expressive faces, cel-shaded/inked appearance, etc.). I’d love the overall image to feel fun, adventurous, and romantic without being overly cheesy. A few specific things I’d love: - Both of us together as Borderlands-inspired characters - Our faces recognizable, but somewhat exaggerated/animated like the game characters - A Borderlands-inspired background - The words “19 Years” incorporated into the artwork - Something that feels like it could belong in the Borderlands universe while still clearly being us - Ideally a finished piece that would look good printed and framed or as a ps5 skin - Claptrap somewhere in the background I can provide several photos of us, including individual photos if those are more useful for getting our faces right. I’m also happy to provide examples of the Borderlands artwork/style I’m envisioning. This is a sentimental piece for us, so I’m hoping to find an artist who can really capture our personalities and the fact that we’ve been playing these games together for our entire relationship.
