What single material would hold this 3D shape AND be printable? My 2mm neoprene is too floppy

Wait 5 sec.

(left pic is puprexgear on etsy https://www.etsy.com/shop/PupRexGear, right is my prototype) I’m trying to make a wearable hood/mask like the example shown in the image, and I’m struggling to identify the right material. I already made a prototype using 2mm white fabric-backed neoprene, but it’s much too soft/floppy and doesn’t hold the sculptural shape of the example. What I’m looking for is one ready-made material that: • Holds a rounded/structured 3D shape reasonably well • Is still flexible enough to wear and sew • Has a white printable surface, ideally polyester for dye sublimation • Is roughly in the 2–5mm range • Can simply be printed → cut → sewn I specifically don’t want to build my own laminate by buying separate fabrics, EVA, interfacing, etc. and gluing/pressing multiple layers together. I know that's possible, but I want something I can purchase as a finished sheet/fabric and use directly. Does anyone in fursuit/costume making know what material could give me this combination of structure + flexibility + printability? submitted by /u/Special_Peach5319 to r/CosplayHelp [link] [comments]
