This one started as a chore I got sick of. Invoice PDF open on one side, a web form on the other, and me copying things across one box at a time. Vendor, invoice number, date, amount, etc. Repeat every few days... So I built the lazy version. I copy the PDF file itself in File Explorer, click the first box of the form, and hit Ctrl+V. It reads the PDF, works out which value goes in which box, and previews the proposed values in place before it touches anything. If it looks right I hit Fill. If one is wrong I untick it and type that one myself. That's the clip. Real flow, fake invoice. A couple of things I didn't plan on when I started. It doesn't have to be a PDF, it works the same from text I copied out of an email or from a screenshot. And it isn't only browser forms, it fills forms in regular Windows apps too. It's part of a Windows app I've been building on my own for a while (Tauri 2, Rust backend, Windows 10 and 11). This part is on the free plan and you don't need an account. It still gets some forms wrong, and that's what I'm after here. If you've got a form you hate filling in, try it on that one and tell me where it falls over. That list is pretty much my to-do list right now. submitted by /u/jwwpua [link] [comments]
