Hi everyone! I’m a solo game dev working on a medieval fantasy CRPG inspired by classic party-based RPGs such as Baldur’s Gate and Pillars of Eternity. I’m looking for a character portrait artist to collaborate with, initially for the game’s demo and hopefully beyond. My budget is limited as I’m working alone, but I don’t want to use generative AI to create anything for my game, even what i'm not able to create by myself. That's why I’d like to find an artist to work with on the demo first (which will need around 60 portraits), and hopefully continue working together in the long term for the full game (which will require around 400–600 portraits, but some of them will be reused for generic NPCs). For each portrait, I’ll provide a screenshot of the character’s 3D model (see the attached example). example of the pictures of the NPC i'll give you, and some information on their jobs (this one, for example, is a blacksmith) To be clear: NO generative AI will be accepted.
