Infrastructure provider GTN has appointed Daniel Endler as its first Group Chief Product Officer (CPO). The newly created role sits between commercial operations and the CTO to build a unified, adaptable trading platform. “It aligns these two functions from a day-to-day operational standpoint, while also driving strong strategic initiatives,” Endler tells Finance Magnates.London's trading industry is coming home!He joins GTN after a 13-year tenure at Saxo Bank, where he held roles across the institutional business, spanning both commercial leadership and product ownership. Most recently, he served as Head of Institutional Product and Solutions. "I am delighted to join GTN at an important stage in its growth and expansion," Endler adds. "We have a fantastic team, clear ambition, and a genuine can-do attitude across the organisation to enable and empower clients globally."Adding Local FlavoursIn his new position, Endler will lead product development across all of GTN’s markets and asset classes.“We have one common platform and we synergize around the common denominator as much as we can,” he notes. “And then different jurisdictions have their idiosyncrasies and their particular way of doing things, so GTN is very committed to adding the flavours that are needed in the different markets.”Additionally, the firm must adapt to a regulatory backdrop that differs wildly from region to region and, for all their bulk, regulatory texts are often filled with subjective demands. “Regulation nowadays is often the factor that shapes product and service as well,” Endler says. This reality is sweeping the broader industry; crypto exchanges, for example, are increasingly handing the reins to compliance experts to lead their European MiFID operations.Endler’s mandate also includes expanding the range of asset classes clients can trade through a single account, though he remains tight-lipped about exactly what is in the pipeline. Why Create this Role in the First Place? The creation of the group-level CPO role, Endler explains, was motivated by a period of rapid geographic and regulatory expansion for GTN.Over the past few years, the infrastructure provider has been on a licensing sprint. It secured its Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) membership for GTN Americas, enabling the unit to offer fractional US equity trading and API-based trading infrastructure to fintechs. In 2024, it also obtained a UK FCA license to support its European expansion, added a South African FSCA license to its regulated footprint, and in March 2026 completed its Asia-Pacific push with a Type 1 securities-dealing licence from Hong Kong’s SFC.In this new role, Endler will direct product strategy across all asset classes and markets for GTN, collaborating with teams across the firm's regulated regional hubs in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Beyond the rapid expansion, Manjula Jayasinghe, GTN’s Co-Founder and Group CEO, comments that Endler's hire is a direct response to evolving market demands."The banks, brokers, asset managers, and fintechs we partner with are facing a common challenge: a new generation of investors demanding more investment opportunities without leaving the app they already use," Jayasinghe says. This article was written by Adonis Adoni at www.financemagnates.com.
