Hi everyone, I’m the developer of BeatView, a free Wear OS app for displaying live heart rate from an external Bluetooth sensor directly on your watch. The idea is simple: a large, readable heart-rate display when you want to glance at your wrist during training. Features: Supports sensors using the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate Service, including Polar, Garmin and Wahoo. Custom heart-rate zones with colour indicators. Sensor battery level and time since the last reading. Your watch’s own heart-rate reading as a comparison. Screen lock to prevent accidental touches from water or wet fingers. Adjustable display size and optional extra information. No account, no ads, and no workout recording or health-data uploads. You’ll need a compatible external Bluetooth heart-rate sensor. One limitation for swimming: Bluetooth has very little range underwater, so connection gaps are expected. The app reconnects automatically. Suggestions for changes and new features are welcome, and please feel free to report bugs. If something goes wrong, including your watch model, sensor model and steps to reproduce it would really help.
