iplicit, the leading finance system for the UK and Ireland mid-market, has today unveiled a series of new product features as part of its most significant release since market launch in 2019.The firm, which provides an award-winning AI-powered cloud-native finance system, will deliver new flexible budgeting functionality to customers as well as its latest release of Insights Build Your Own, a new reporting capability within iplicit Insights, its AI-enabled analytics and reporting suite.iplicit is presenting the updates at Digital Accountancy Show (DAS) in London’s Excel on 7 and 8 October. Its latest release includes over 90 improvements, a new Agent framework and additions across the platform, as well as a totally new user interface (UI). Building on AI-powered reportingiplicit Insights, launched in May 2026 as the flagship of the firm’s expanding AI platform iplicit AI Pulse, offers customers real-time financial insight through AI-enabled analytics built into their finance platform. As part of its next phase, iplicit is introducing Insights Build Your Own, allowing users to create and share their own reports and dashboards, whether by building content manually from available data models, asking questions in natural language, or using AI to help generate reports, dashboards and visualisations, without needing advanced technical skills.Reports generated within iplicit Insights remain traceable to source transactions and based exclusively on verified financial data held within the platform, within the same interface and permissions structure that finance teams already use. All outputs are then viewed, controlled and verified by the finance team.Paul Sparkes, Chief Product Officer at iplicit, said: "In more than 30 years in accounting and finance software, the main reason people change their system has stayed the same: they want better reporting, better insights and better data. Insights Build Your Own is designed to let finance teams create the reports they need in plain English, without technical expertise, and it can transform the time it takes to create management packs. It is an area we have invested in heavily, and we are looking forward to working with our early adopters."In addition to enhanced AI-powered reporting, iplicit is launching a new flexible budgeting tool that will enable users to build budgets on up to three attributes at once, entered manually or imported from Excel.Budget checking will include committed balances alongside posted balances, with warnings on purchase orders and requisitions when a line is projected to exceed budget, and administrators will be able to stop over-budget documents from being submitted. The enhancements will give key stakeholders greater control and instant understanding of budget positions and committed costs. In addition to new functionality, iplicit is unveiling an all-new UI, designed in direct response to customer feedback to make it easier for them to get the most out of the product. It introduces spotlight search, a dedicated home page bringing together key actions such as expenses, VAT returns and bank reconciliations, and clearer navigation with cleaner layouts and better use of screen space. A new colour palette, typography, icons and controls also give a consistent look across the platform, with improvements to readability and accessibility support. Sparkes added: "This is the single biggest release we have made since we launched iplicit in 2019, and it lays strong foundations for the future. Customers have told us that if there were three things we could make even better, they would be a more intuitive, user-friendly experience, stronger budgeting control and better reporting. This release addresses all three, and we look forward to showcasing it at DAS this year.”iplicit now serves over 50,000 daily users with system access from 103 countries. The firm’s network of over 70 partners includes many of the UK's top 50 accountancy practices, such as BDO, Moore Kingston Smith and Forvis Mazars, as well as leading technology integrations such as GoCardless and Pleo. The company was named one of the UK’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2027 by the Financial Times and Statista last week.
