Two people were taken to hospital after inhaling smoke when a fire broke out inside a residence in Qala, Gozo, on Tuesday evening.Civil Protection Department firefighters from Station 6 were called to the residence and managed to bring the blaze under control.Once the fire was extinguished, firefighters carried out ventilation procedures to clear smoke from the building.Two people were assisted by a medical team from the Gozo General Hospital Emergency Department before being admitted to hospital for further treatment following smoke inhalation.Their conditions have not been disclosed.The Civil Protection Department thanked the medical team and Malta Police Force officers from the 12th Police District for their assistance during the operation.Photo credits to @civilprotectionmalta•
