higher lows pressing the 7,850 range top - breakout or REJECTIOUS500 Index (Cash)BLACKBULL:US500KR_TradeCraftThe S&P 500 (US500) has been stuck in a range since August, and price is now testing the top of it for the fourth time. This time the lows underneath are rising. STRUCTURE - Range top: 7,790-7,850. Price was rejected here in mid-August, late September and on October 7. - Range bottom: 7,580-7,630, which held through September. - Higher lows: 7,510 (Sep 16), 7,620 (Oct 2) and 7,735 (Oct 9). Buyers are stepping in earlier each time. - Repeated tests of the same ceiling with rising lows show pressure building against resistance. - Price is now around 7,819, back inside the resistance band. BULLISH SCENARIO - A 1H or 4H close above 7,850 (the October 7 high), ideally followed by a retest that holds. - Targets: 7,920, then about 8,040 (the range height of roughly 220 points added to the top). - Invalidation: back below 7,790. BEARISH SCENARIO - Another rejection at 7,850, followed by a close below the last higher low at 7,735. - That would break the rising-lows structure. Targets: 7,680, then 7,620 (range bottom). - Invalidation: a close above 7,850. WHAT I'M WATCHING - The reaction at 7,850: a clean close above, or long upper wicks. - Whether the 7,735 higher low holds on any pullback. - Breakouts from long ranges often retest the breakout level first, so I prefer the retest over chasing. Key levels: 7,620 | 7,680 | 7,735 | 7,790 | 7,850 | 7,920 | 8,040 This is my own analysis for educational purposes, not financial advice. Manage your risk.
