I built recap.games because I was tired of losing track of games after showcases

Wait 5 sec.

I'd watch a Nintendo Direct or State of Play, see a game that looked interesting, then forget its name by the time I wanted to look it up. Finding it again meant scrubbing through a long YouTube video or searching articles, hoping I'd recognise a screenshot. That's why I started building recap.games. You can pick a showcase and browse the games that appeared in it, then open a game to find its trailers and release details. There's also an announcement timeline with links to the original sources, including timestamps for announcements within the full broadcast. If you just want to watch what you missed, there's a trailer queue where you can save games for later and mark ones you've seen. You can filter the game browser by platform or genre too, and there's a schedule for upcoming shows. I've attached a short video showing the site. You can try it here: https://recap.games I'm still actively developing it. I've spent a lot of time looking at these pages, so I'd like some feedback from people seeing them for the first time. Is it obvious within a few seconds what the site is for? Would you use this after a showcase, or would you rather keep it open while watching? What's missing that would make it useful enough for you to come back? submitted by /u/Tdanks2000 [link] [comments]
