I'm lucky that I live in a British town where you don't actually need an appointment or referral to use the food bank, we have multiple and for all of them you literally just turn up. I understand that's not the case for major cities though. If people are offering her food banks that will help her asap that's fair, but if they're offering her more food banks with long waiting lists I understand why that person commented that
