SENTINEL v2.10 — 1H LIQUIDITY + 5M ENTRYGoldOANDA:XAUUSDPips0mnianI'm pleased to introduce Sentinel — 1H Liquidity + 5M Entry v2.10, an indicator developed to combine higher-timeframe liquidity analysis with a structured 5-minute entry-confirmation process. The objective is simple: identify relevant liquidity areas, evaluate market conditions, and wait for price confirmation before considering a trading signal. THE SENTINEL METHODOLOGY 1. 1H LIQUIDITY LEVELS Sentinel identifies 1-hour swing highs and lows to map potential liquidity areas on the chart. Traders can customize pivot settings, visible liquidity levels, and other liquidity parameters. 2. DAILY CONFLUENCE The indicator compares 1H liquidity levels with the previous day's high and low. When a level falls within the configured proximity of either daily reference, Sentinel can highlight it differently. 3. 5M ENTRY CONFIRMATION Sentinel uses a structured reversal-and-breakout process: • Identifies a reversal candle after a configurable sequence of preceding candles of the opposite colour. • Establishes the reversal candle's high and low as confirmation levels. • Waits for price to break the relevant level, subject to the configured entry buffer. • By default, requires the breakout confirmation at candle close. The result is a structured approach that combines liquidity context with lower-timeframe price confirmation. OPTIONAL SENTINEL SCORE The optional scoring filter evaluates selected conditions, including: Daily confluence. Candle-sequence confirmation. Rejection wick. 5M EMA alignment. Position within the 1H range. Volume relative to its average. Traders can customize the scoring components and minimum score threshold. 5. SENTINEL DASHBOARD The dashboard consolidates key information into a single view: Liquidity-zone status. 1H range validity. Daily-confluence status. 5M confirmation status. BUY / SELL / WAIT signal state. Optional Sentinel Score. Opening-filter status. 6. INTERNAL TRADE-STATE MANAGEMENT Sentinel maintains internal trade-state calculations, including entry-based TP1/TP2 target selection, partial-target tracking, and a trailing-stop calculation based on the previous 1H low or high. These are internal indicator calculations, not broker-executed trades or TradingView strategy orders. THE PRINCIPLE BEHIND SENTINEL A liquidity level alone is not an entry signal. Sentinel follows a structured analytical sequence: DAILY CONFLUENCE → 1H LIQUIDITY → 5M REVERSAL → BREAKOUT CONFIRMATION → SIGNAL The focus is on combining market context with a defined confirmation process rather than reacting to every price movement. Sentinel's 5-minute signal restriction is enabled by default, making the 5M chart the intended timeframe for its entry signals. LET'S DISCUSS When price approaches an important liquidity level, do you prefer to enter immediately or wait for a lower-timeframe reversal and breakout confirmation? I'd be interested to hear how other traders approach liquidity-based trading and confirmation. Find Sentinel — 1H Liquidity + 5M Entry v2.10 on TradingView.
