Hi everyone. Quick honest note first: I run yourhack.ai, a small site where people list their projects. I'm still learning, and I wanted to understand how we compare to the more established launch sites, so I opened a live listing on 25 of them and looked at the link in the page source. Here's what I found, out of the 23 I was able to read: 13 gave a normal followed link 9 were nofollow Product Hunt used ugc (it blocked my requests this time, so that one is from an earlier check in July) One thing I didn't expect: quite a few of the "free dofollow backlink" offers come with conditions. DevHunt says free listings are nofollow and paid launches get dofollow. Uneed ties it to an upvote score on the free plan. Fazier asks for a link back to them. None of that is a bad deal, it just wasn't obvious to me from the headlines. To be fair, my own site works the same way: on yourhack a listing link is nofollow by default and only becomes followed if you link back or pay. So I added us to the table with that written out plainly. I put everything in one table with the date I checked each site, since these things change often: https://yourhack.ai/submit-your-tool It's free to read, no signup. I'm sure I've missed some good launch sites or got something wrong, so if you spot anything, I'd really appreciate you letting me know and I'll fix it. Thanks for reading. submitted by /u/SC_Aper [link] [comments]
