A few weeks ago I posted my first attempt at making a free printable premodern deck's worth of cards that I had been working on ever since the Zeta set inspired me to try my own take on playtest style cards. That deck was [the mono black midrange deck, Moneyball black](https://omegaset.itch.io/moneyballblack) Each "deck" isn't exactly a ready-made- it's a collection of 36 cards which can be used to build dozens of configurations of the deck and its sideboard using tournament deck lists from all over the world. Anyway, this time the deck in question probably needs no introduction. It's known by many names in many formats: from Geeba to The orcish librarian deck, from All in Red to Red Deck Wins. It's premodern mono red aggro/burn aka Sligh! I posted the high res files, with a full write up on the deck, what premodern is, and instructions on printing/the label paper I used etc. for free over on itch.io (link below): https://omegaset.itch.io/sligh The project originally started as kind of a commentary/response to the artificial scarcity of the zeta set, whose own design was, somewhat ironically, owed to the grassroots, handmade, public domain, and printable nature of those early playtest cards. But a lot has changed since my first post with Wizards at least partially recognizing their mistake and offering a rerelease of the zeta set as a print to demand offering. However, even if the events that inspired the original deck have morphed for the better, the cat is out of the bag in that I found it super fun to make these kinds of cards and wanted to make and share more. I call the overarching project "the omega set" and I might do a couple more premodern decks in the future. I pretty much told myself I'll keep making them as long as it's still fun to do so and so far it has been and I've really appreciated the response to the Moneyball Black deck. I hope you enjoy! submitted by /u/Anemonean to r/magicTCG [link] [comments]
