Former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain has been convicted of abetment to rioting during the 2020 northeast Delhi riots. The conviction was made by Additional Sessions Judge Praveen Singh, who acquitted 12 other co-accused of all charges. Hussain was previously convicted in connection with the killing of Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma. The riots resulted in extensive damage and loss of life, leaving 53 people dead.
