Leeds United made Arsenal work to get a win today as the Whites met expectations in North London and showed why they were unbeaten in the league before the match. Daniel Farke is leading one of the finest Leeds sides, and they are pushing to play in Europe next season, so they have almost had to be perfect and travelled to London unbeaten.By contrast, Arsenal lost their last league game before the international break, so when they went behind against Leeds, their fans feared they could lose back-to-back games. However, eventually, that never happened as Arsenal came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win, and they had to find goals even though Leeds seemed the much better side.Leeds’ Strong Display and Arsenal’s ResponseBecause the visitors were such a good team in the game, the Gunners had to be at their best despite struggling, and that created a very good match between two teams, thanks mostly to Leeds refusing to settle for a defeat. Ally McCoist watched the game and said on the BBC:“It was a great game of football. Leeds were brilliant for one hour. Mikel Arteta made changes when he needed to and the substitutions gave Arsenal what they needed. That’s what champions do. Leeds can hold their heads high.”(Photo by Julian Finney/Getty Images)Arteta’s Impact and Leeds’ PromiseMcCoist’s praise for both sides reflects the quality on show, with Leeds’ early dominance testing Arsenal’s resolve. Arteta’s substitutions proved decisive, and the Gunners’ ability to turn the game around underlines their title credentials.Leeds will take heart from their performance, even in defeat, as they showed they can compete with the best. Their unbeaten run may have ended, but the display suggests they are genuine contenders for European places. Farke’s side will look to bounce back quickly. For Arsenal, the win is a statement of intent, showing they can grind out results even when not at their best._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
