I know this podcast is getting a lot of stick for Bridges bringing up his stories a lot, but there is actually quite a good discussion in this one about 'the dark side of football' in reference to Brendan struggling when he was going through a poor period of form and getting a lot of criticism. He explains how it was basically the first challenge he faced in his career and he couldn't understand how what was working before was no longer working - and then being alone the rest of the time must have been tough. It did make me feel bad for him tbh and it's on the manager at the time (Marsch) for not supporting him sufficiently and getting the best out of him (i.e. stopping the always going down to try and win a foul) - glad to see a better manager (Farke) is getting more out of him now.
