Uganda is using the 12th edition of ExpoBeton DRC in Kinshasa to deepen economic ties with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and create new opportunities for Ugandan businesses to access the Congolese market. The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Kinshasa is participating in the four-day expo, which runs from October 7 to 10, 2026, at La Grande Résidence-Galerie La Fontaine. The expo was officially opened on October 7 by DRC President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo and is being held under the theme, “Kinshasa, Locomotive of the Transformation of DRC Cities.”The event brings together stakeholders through three key segments—conference sessions, business-to-business (B2B) engagements and an exhibition—providing a platform for businesses, investors and policymakers to explore partnerships and investment opportunities.Uganda’s delegation includes representatives of the Ugandan Embassy in Kinshasa, the Uganda Tourism Board and private-sector companies exhibiting their products and services.Among the Ugandan companies participating are Roofings Group Uganda, Tooke Online, Movit Uganda, Sleeping Baby and Uganda Breweries Limited. The delegation is using the expo to promote Ugandan products and services while exploring strategic partnerships and opportunities for market access in the DRC.The Embassy views ExpoBeton as an important platform for connecting Ugandan businesses with Congolese and international business communities, construction companies, investors and financial institutions. The participation also comes as Uganda seeks to strengthen economic and commercial relations with the DRC, one of its key regional markets.Uganda’s participation is expected to provide local businesses with an opportunity to understand market requirements, establish commercial relationships and identify potential areas for investment and collaboration.Uganda’s Ambassador to the DRC, His Excellency Kaliisa Farid, is scheduled to address the expo during a panel discussion on Economic Zones, where he is expected to highlight opportunities for investment and economic cooperation. The Ugandan pavilion is also showcasing the country as “Uganda – The Pearl of Africa,” with exhibitors engaging visitors and potential partners on trade, tourism, products and investment opportunities. The Embassy has invited conference delegates, investors and local partners to visit the Ugandan pavilion and explore opportunities for collaboration in trade and infrastructure investment.ExpoBeton DRC will run until October 10, providing participating businesses with several days to engage potential partners, investors and customers.Uganda’s participation reflects efforts to leverage regional trade platforms to expand markets for locally produced goods, attract investment and strengthen commercial links between Uganda and the DRC.The post Uganda Uses ExpoBeton DRC to Pursue New Trade and Investment Opportunities appeared first on The Insider.
