doesitrun (https://doesitrun.com) started because I was sick of googling "can I run [game]" one title at a time. So I built something that does the whole Steam library at once.

Wait 5 sec.

What it does: - Point it at your Steam library (or wishlist, or a friend's) and it shows how well each game runs on your PC: estimated FPS at your resolution and quality. - Tells you the bottleneck in your system (CPU, GPU, VRAM or RAM) and the cheapest upgrade that would fix it. - A PC builder: pick the games you want and it spits out a complete parts list with expected FPS and a price. - A bottleneck calculator, "Can I run it?" pages per game, GPU-vs-GPU comparisons, a GPU tier list, plus Steam Deck / handheld figures. - No account, no ads, nothing to install (Steam login and a little hardware detector are optional shortcuts). - It's in 5 languages. On the build side (since this is SideProject): it's plain server-rendered JS on Cloudflare Workers with a small database, deliberately boring so I could actually maintain it as a non-coder. The hardest part wasn't code, it was forcing the AI to never invent numbers: every FPS figure comes from real game requirements and is checked against actual benchmarks. Honest caveat: the FPS numbers are estimates, a guide and not a benchmark, so they can be off. Feedback I'd love: For hardware you own, do the FPS numbers look right? If one's clearly off, tell me the game + your GPU/CPU. Is the first screen clear within a few seconds? Anything confusing or missing? Happy to answer anything about how a non-coder built and shipped this. submitted by /u/Plus-Company-1017 [link] [comments]
