Do you have a desperate need for a break-action, under-barrel 12-gauge shotgun? If you do, then Uxbridge Arms wants you to know they’re filling that need. And not only will the new Uxbridge Arms G6 serve as an accessory shotgun when attached to another firearm’s mounting system, but it can also come with its own purpose-built stock that makes it an oddball standalone firearm. Made in Canada @ TFB:BlackCreek Labs Bronco, Bison Lineup: From Varmints To Big Game DVD2026: Colt Canada Unveils New C25 to UK and Europe Fudd Friday: Savage Revel Classic Review Federal Introduces Prairie Storm shotshells Adding on a shotgunThe basic idea of the Uxbridge Arms G6 is simple: Sometimes, people want a shotgun accessory to add to their rifle, typically for the purpose of door breaching (which is why they call them masterkeys). See Nick’s review of one such setup here, and there are plenty of others if you look around. In the case of the Uxbridge Arms G6, you get a break-action single-shot shotgun, which pivots from the muzzle end and tips downward, allowing you to load and unload it. There’s a trigger directly behind the chamber, theoretically allowing you to use your rifle’s magazine as a grip, as with other masterkey-style shotguns. Here’s how Uxbridge Arms describes it:“With an overall length of 8.5" and barrel length of 5.25", the G6 is a 12 gauge, 3 inch single barrel under barrel shotgun designed to function when attached to the G6 accessory stock.“The G6 will mount to any approved non restricted forearm with picatinny rail. The factory is in the process of testing a large number of rifles and the approved list will be published soon.”One obvious problem with this setup is that most doors have two hinges, while the G6 only has one shot, meaning any dynamic entry will be difficult, as you have to reload midway through blasting the door off.The full price for this gun will be $699, and to get a spot guaranteed on the first production run, it will cost you $200 to pre-order, with the rest to be paid later. The accessory stock that Uxbridge Arms is working on will cost you $50 to pre-order, with presumably another $150 or so due at a later point, when delivered. The accessory stock is kind of a weirdo setup, basically a fake carbine with a forward grip instead of a magazine, an underbarrel Picatinny rail, and sights on top. Uxbridge Arms says the RCMP have determined the G6 is a non-restricted firearm in their market when attached to that stock. As for other markets outside Canada, that might be trickier, and we’ve seen no announcement of U.S. sales yet.
