Some of You May Die, But It's a Sacrifice I Am Willing to Make is a meme based on a quote from Lord Farquaad in the 2001 animated film Shrek. The line became an image macro in 2014, with the format typically used to caption situations where someone appears willing to accept another person's death or suffering. It continued spreading as a reaction image, GIF and exploitable throughout the 2010s and 2020s.
