India's antidepressant and mood-drug market grew 8.63 per cent to Rs 2,842.1 crore in the 12 months ended September 2026, even as unit sales declined 0.76 per cent. Doctors say the figures must be viewed alongside unmet treatment needs, changing prescribing patterns and concerns over self-diagnosis and medication adherence.
