No force on earth can destroy AIADMK, says Udaykumar in Madurai - The HinduUpdated - October 10, 2026 10:09 pm IST - MADURAIR.B. UdhaykumarNo force on the earth can destroy the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and whoever attempts, only they would disappear, said former Minister and senior AIADMK leader R.B. Udhaykumar here on Saturday.Speaking to reporters, he said that the recent bypoll results in Dharapuram and Madhuranthakam Assembly constituencies showed the ruling TVK government in a poor light.For the hype given to the Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay, the results indicated they have ‘just passed’ and managed to win. Through the victory, the TVK can be credited with ‘Dharapuram formula’ as there was a widespread distribution of gifts handed over in tiffin box, he claimed.The TVK, he alleged, had floated fake videos portraying the late MGR blessing Mr. Joseph Vijay and misled the gullible people in the two Assembly constituencies.Second, Mr. Udhaykumar said that there were charges that the AIADMK had gone hand-in-glove with the DMK. However, the contest in the two Assembly constituencies by the two parties showed that the allegations spread by the TVK and others were baseless.He said that some functionaries from the AIADMK had gone to the TVK only for their self-protection. The AIADMK high command was simply not worried about such defections. Such people should answer the public tomorrow, he challenged.He reiterated that the AIADMK would emerge victorious soon and crush the TVK, which had come to power by deceiving the people of Tamil Nadu. They (TVK) would disappear when it started losing in one election. Just one poll result will be sufficient for the party to exit, he said.To a query, he said, Mr. Joseph Vijay should stop indulging in ‘cheap’ politics and not misuse the AI like tools in the social media. He should engage himself in decent politics.Recalling an incident, when the TVK was in trouble after the Karur tragedy, which claimed 42 lives, the AIADMK general secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami insisted in the Assembly that unless and until a thorough probe was conducted, the TVK cannot be blamed. Such was the magnanimity of Mr. Palaniswami, he said.To another query, Mr Udhaykumar said that senior functionaries who had isolated themselves from the party, would be back in action and the AIADMK would rise like a phoenix.Published - October 10, 2026 08:08 pm ISTSign in to unlock member-only benefits!Access 10 free stories every monthSave stories to read laterAccess to comment on every storySign-up/manage your newsletter subscriptions with a single clickGet notified by email for early access to discounts & offers on our products${ ind + 1 } ${ device }Last active - ${ la }
