The full-time whistle has blown in the Premier League clash between Man United and Tottenham, and it’s time for our player ratings from the 1-1 draw.As has been the case for much of the season, Spurs began the game as the brighter of the two sides but failed to turn their dominance into goals.United raised their intensity after the break and took the lead through Mbeumo, before Tottenham made matters worse by going down to ten men.Yet, just like the game against City, United squandered their numerical advantage, allowing Spurs to snatch a late equaliser when Dominic Solanke found the net.Photo by Jan Kruger/Getty ImagesTottenham player ratings vs Manchester UnitedAntonin Kinsky – Barely tested in the first half, but in the second he was forced into a few good saves. Nothing he could do to prevent Mbeumo’s goal. 7.Archie Gray – Had little to do in the first half as United offered minimal threat. That changed after the break as Cunha, Shaw and Fernandes found joy down his side. The goal came from his flank, with Cunha picking out Mbeumo despite Gray and Savio marking the space. 6.Jan Paul van Hecke – Defended the box well in the first half, making key interceptions and winning headers. Maintained his standards in the second half, snuffing out a dangerous Shaw cross. He also offered a threat from corners and nearly assisted a goal. However, he was undone by Mbeumo’s clever touch and picked up a yellow card for a lunge on Fernandes, which led to Bentancur’s dismissal. 6.Marcos Senesi – Came in for Micky van de Ven and impressed in the first half. His passing was crisp and progressive, especially early on when Spurs were on top. In the second half, he did not see much of the ball but was tidy when defending his box. 7.5.Destiny Udogie – Made a crucial interception to prevent a United cross reaching the back post. In the second half, he picked up from where he left as he won another key ball after Fernandes wriggled into the box. He also supported in attacks, stretching United’s defence. 7.Lucas Bergvall – Started brightly, pressing high and forcing Mainoo into an error. His energy dropped in the second half, unsurprising given his international involvement. 6.Sandro Tonali – Struggled in the holding role. Spurs held firm in the first half, but gaps appeared in midfield. Virtually anonymous after the break, though he did assist Tottenham’s goal late on. 7.Conor Gallagher – Brought energy and running, helping Spurs win second balls early on in the first forty-five. He was at the heart of almost every chance Tottenham created with their relentless high press. That impact faded a little in the second half as United’s changes took effect. 7.5.Mohammed Kudus – Direct and lively in the first half, troubling Shaw and nearly scoring from Savio’s cutback. His influence in the second half was not as much as in the first forty-five. He was eventually taken off. 6.5.Dominic Solanke – Missed a big early chance after Bergvall forced Mainoo into an error. Failed to keep another effort down in the second half but did score late on with a header from Tonali’s cross. Hopefully the goal is a big confidence boost. 7.Savio – Offered direct running and creativity on the left, making a good chance for Kudus. Danced past his defenders for the first 60 minutes but never quite managed to put that final ball on a plate. There is a real player here if he can sort that end product out. Later switched to the right, where he struggled to be quite as impactful. 7.5.SubstitutesRodrigo Bentancur – Introduced in the 66th minute but sent off in the 79th for headbutting Shaw. 1.Micky van de Ven – Replaced Udogie as Spurs shifted to a back three. 5.Omar Marmoush – Came on for Kudus but saw little of the ball after Spurs went down to ten men. 5.James Maddison – Replaced Gallagher, operating in the number 10 role. Kept the tempo up pretty nicely in the dying stages. 6.Mateus Fernandes – Came on for Senesi in the closing stages.
