Designed a fully mechanical Halloween doorbell/button that pops out a hidden BOO sign 🎃👻 (Fully 3D printable, no electronics or glue required)

Wait 5 sec.

When looking at most Halloween decorations, I noticed that many of them are pretty static. They look nice, but that's usually where the interaction ends. I wanted to make something a little different. So I designed a fully mechanical wall-mounted Halloween doorbell/button that turns a normal action, pressing a button, into a small surprise. Press the front button and a hidden "BOO" sign instantly pops out of the bottom of the box. The model is available with two housing styles (Wooden Texture and Classic Clean) and two interchangeable sign options. Besides the original "BOO" sign, there's also an alternative spider version that was added following community feedback. I've also included a step-by-step assembly guide and instructions for printing the signs in multiple colors without an AMS. Since this model is still pretty new, I'd be interested to hear some feedback from anyone who takes a look at it. I'd also be happy to see photos if anyone decides to print one. :) The model can be found on MakerWorld here: 🔗 https://makerworld.com/models/3402947-pop-out-halloween-doorbell-button#profileId-3874874 submitted by /u/ToastDesigns to r/3dprinter [link] [comments]
