I built a free music player for iPhone with no ads. It's at 11.9k downloads and I just shipped a full redesign

Offline Music Player is an iPhone and iPad app for playing music files you already have. You bring songs in from the Files app or import a whole folder, and they play offline. It's free, with no ads and no account, and it doesn't collect any data. So far it has about 11.9k downloads, and lately it gets around 100 a day. The first versions were built in Flutter. This year I rewrote the whole thing in Swift, and the reviews that came in after that release turned out to be the most useful feedback I've had. People found real bugs, like a file picker that never opened and a crash when deleting songs. Version 3.1 came out this week with fixes for every one of them, plus a redesign and proper iPad layouts. It builds albums and artists from the tags in your files, keeps a folder's track order when you import it, and has synced lyrics and a sleep timer. You can also switch it to an audiobook or podcast mode, which renames Albums and Songs across the app. App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6756036292 If you keep your own music files, I'd like to hear what you'd want from a player like this. submitted by /u/MLEntrepreneur [link] [comments]
