Got rejected after a seemingly great in-person interview. What would you do ?

Wait 5 sec.

I’m an OR nurse with 3 yrs of experience in the LA area (Glendale/Pasadena) … I left my job at USC due to poor culture and not being a good long term fit for me. I filled out an application for my dream hospital, Glendale Memorial, and got an in-person interview almost immediately. I thought the interview went great and I provided great answers (all true and close to my heart) and was told I’d hear back within a week and I got a generic rejection letter. I sent an email to his work mail asking for feedback and if I should wait for future employment opportunities as I truly wanted to work at this hospital , and I didn’t receive an answer. I then wait 5 business days and asked the hospital operator to be connected to his direct extension, only to leave a message, and this was on Monday … no reply. I essentially said the same thing and how I still wish to work at the hospital. What would you do in this situation ? I don’t want this to slip away and I see the application still on their job site. I’m feeling really confused and hopeless as I’m now out of a job and surgical centers are not even a temporary option as they all want significant ortho experience and I always wanted to stay within a hospital anyway. Any advice ? Thx for reading guys submitted by /u/AstronomerOk224 [link] [comments]
