My late husband would go to the bank and get crisp $100 bills, wash the car and wear a suit with vest and pocket watch. He would match his with my dress. Most of the weddings in our circle by then were the kids of our friends. Depending on whether we were invited because of our close relationship with the bride/groom’s mom/dad, or whether we were invited more for the gift part made the amount we would give. He sure did look spiffy! This was a biker dude that wore black t-shirts and jeans with biker boots. lol. I miss him. And I miss weddings. Kids married and grandkids too young. I won’t be dancing much when it’s the the grandkids turn. Hahaha
