Why didn't Epic use the exact same DeLorean Time Machine/Back To The Future Time Machine 3D model from Rocket League in Fortnite?

Wait 5 sec.

With cross-game vehicle ownership, we usually get identical 3D models between Rocket League and Fortnite. However, the DeLorean Time Machine has some massive visual discrepancies between the two games that make the Fortnite version look a bit off compared to both the movie and the Rocket League version. I’ve compiled a few side-by-side screenshots to highlight the main differences: • Wiring & Cables: The external wiring on the sides of the car looks significantly bulkier, loses its bright neon glow, and follows a completely different pathing in Fortnite compared to Rocket League's sleek, movie-accurate look. • Rear Elements & Fusion Reactor: The Mr. Fusion and the rear exhaust vents have different proportions and lighting configurations between the two models. • Body Texture & Decal Colors: In Rocket League, the default car base accent has a distinct, matte dark grey look that contrasts perfectly with the stainless steel body. In Fortnite, this has been changed to a washed-out light silver, completely altering the car's movie-accurate contrast and depth. My Suggestion / Request: Could we please get an option or a Style Toggle to choose between the Rocket League / Movie-Accurate Style and the current Fortnite version? A lot of us bought this car specifically because of how incredible it looks in Rocket League, and we would love to see that exact same care and 3D model accuracy brought over to the Fortnite ecosystem. submitted by /u/BlackImpostor_0000 to r/FortniteBR [link] [comments]
