Heya, I'm currently doing a "No Face" Cosplay and I got the fabric and how to attach the mask to it sorted out but I'm struggling with the mask itself. How would you recommend creating such a mask? Size would be 60cm tall and around 45cm width It should be rounded at the edges, so not just a straight cardboard panel if you know what I mean. What I thought about was cutting out a cardboard piece in the shape of it, a bit smaller than the measurements and glue some foam like from a yoga mat or something to it with the foam peaking over the edge of the mask on all side with around 2cm. Then sew the fabric to the foam that is overhanging so it gets pulled back a bit from the fabric? What I don't like about it is that I will only get a bit of rounded edges / a curve and most masks I've seen have a uniform kinda roundness to them, but I don't know how I could accomplish that without a mold or a 3d printed multiple parts part tbh. I'm a complete beginner and under a bit of pressure rn haha submitted by /u/Longjumping_Row6404 [link] [comments]
