Even at 35, I feel embarrassed for my rich, dual income friends and family asking me for money. I work hard and am low income. I give $25 and don't think about it. If they have an option to donate to charity (most of the mature and classy ones do) I always do that instead. I know I sound bitter, but that's just one perspective for you.
