What it is: a web tool that compresses, resizes, converts and edits images. It started as "yet another compressor" but grew into a toolbox. What's in it - Compress to a target file size (e.g. "under 100 KB") or by quality, with a before/after slider - Opens formats most tools don't: HEIC, RAW, PSD, PDF and more. It outputs JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, JXL and others - Resize, crop, convert, watermark, ID/passport photo presets - Free AI tools: background removal, upscaler, blur faces, image-to-text - Website Optimizer: give it a domain, it scans every page and tells you which images are costing you load time - REST API, a JS SDK on npm, and an MCP server, so you can use it from scripts or from an AI agent How it works: images are processed on my own server, not on a third-party service. Uploads aren't stored. If you ask for a download link, the result is kept for at most an hour. The AI models run from my own disk. There are no ads, on the free plan or on Pro. Pricing: most tools are free. Pro is monthly or yearly and raises limits and unlocks batch/workflows and the API. There's no lifetime plan. What I'd like to hear: Is the home page clear about what it does within a few seconds? Which tool would you actually use, and which one is missing? Anything that breaks on your files? Weird formats especially. Link: https://imagecompressor.si Thanks for looking. Happy to answer anything about the build. submitted by /u/Able-Place [link] [comments]
