We built a tool for the Playwright tests that break when someone renames a button

Wait 5 sec.

I’m working on 9lives at QualityMax. It runs your existing Playwright tests locally and has experimental healing for broken locators. It proposes a locator change, leaves the assertions alone, and re-runs the spec to check whether the repair passes. The part I’m cautious about is a repair that clicks the wrong thing and still passes. Keeping assertions intact helps, but weak assertions can miss that. It’s open source and runs on Linux, macOS and Windows. There’s a runnable demo in the repo. Would reviewing the suggested repair save you time compared with fixing the locator yourself? submitted by /u/bestofdesp [link] [comments]
