Audi India is considering local manufacturing of a battery electric vehicle, with a decision expected in the next few months. The luxury carmaker aims to double its market share from around 8% to 15-16% over the next three to five years through new product launches, customer-focused initiatives and dealership expansion, particularly in tier-II and tier-III cities. The proposed India-EU free trade agreement could also help Audi introduce more models to test demand.
